Illinois Cannabis Sales Grow 120% in April to Reach Record $150 Million

Illinois total cannabis sales reached $150.2 million in April, up 4% from March (1 less day) and up 120% from a year ago :

Adult-use sales, according to the state, totaled $115.0 million, up 209% from a year ago and up 5% from March. This was the fastest year-over-year growth to date:

So far in 2021, adult-use sales of $394 million have increased 167% compared to 2020. Out-of-state purchases represented 30% of adult-use sales during the month, the same as in March and up from 28% in February. Medical cannabis fell 1% sequentially to $35.3 million, up 13% from a year ago.

According to the state, dry flower accounted for 47% of total sales to 69, 257 patients, with concentrates/infused-products at 53%. The number of patients making purchases jumped 9% from February during March and fell slightly in April.
