Apeks Supercritical – the DBA for Apeks LLC, which he founded in 2001 – makes equipment for extracting botanical oils using carbon dioxide. He likened it to a “lemon squeezer” for a feature in Friday’s Columbus Business First. Other extractors use butane or other toxic chemicals.
