These Four Well-Funded American Cannabis Companies Are Hiring

Exclusive Look at Open Cannabis Job Opportunities at Charlotte’s Web, MedMen, Trulieve, and Vireo

Cannabis may not be federally legal in the United States yet, but companies are thriving in the fragmented marketplace. Multi-state operators backed by strong funding are debuting in the public market and differentiating themselves in the industry. As companies like this rapidly expand their footprints, they need to add talented people to their teams. These four U.S.-based companies are publically traded or on the road to becoming publically traded, and they are hiring right now.

Brand and Trade Marketing Manager at Charlotte’s Web

CBD wellness products company Charlotte’s Web (CSE: CWEB) (OTC: CWBHF) is hiring a Brand and Trade Marketing Manager in Boulder, Colorado, to support the company’s marketing and sales growth. The person in this role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Brand and Trade.

Charlotte’s Web Cultivators at Work

On the brand side, the person in this role will focus on developing marketing programs and channel strategies. On the trade side, this position will focus on retail execution strategies. The Brand and Trade Marketing Manager will oversee a direct report. Charlotte’s Web is looking for candidates with previous CPG experience, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset. The company has 215 employees, which means it has grown beyond its startup stage, but ideal candidates will still bring an entrepreneurial drive to this role.

The salary for the role has a fairly wide range depending on candidate expectations and experience. Charlotte’s Web offers a comprehensive benefits package with full healthcare (medical, dental, and vision), 15 days of PTO (PTO increases with each year of employment), life insurance, a 401k, and an employee discount program.

Director of Data Sciences at MedMen Enterprises

Cannabis company MedMen Enterprises (CSE: MMEN) (OTC: MMNFF) is hiring a Director of Data Sciences in Culver City, California to help support the growth of its business intelligence department.  The person in this role will report to the Vice President of Global Business Intelligence and the Chief of Staff.

The ideal person for this role will be passionate about data science, have the ability to understand its real-world applications, and know how to tell that story to business stakeholders. The Director of Data Sciences will be integral in creating and executing the company’s data science vision across processes like clustering, forecasting, machine learning, and eventually AI. This role gives the opportunity for the right candidate to define what data sciences looks like at MedMen and in the cannabis industry.

Inside MedMen’s West Hollywood Dispensary

MedMen is a rapidly scaling company. A year ago the company had 200 employees. Now it has 1,200 people on the team. The Director of Data Sciences is one of many roles currently open in the growing business intelligence department. Though the company is so large it operates with the fast-paced energy of a startup.

Physician and Community Educator at Trulieve

Vertically integrated cannabis company Trulieve (CSE: TRUL) (OTC: TCNNF), based in Florida, is hiring a Physician and Community Educator in Fort Myers. The person in this position will help physicians learn about the company’s products in order to increase patient access.

The company has eight physician and community educator roles across the state. The people in this role are a part of Trulieve’s 50-person marketing team. The role does not necessarily require previous experience in the cannabis industry, but it is a good fit for people who are passionate about the space. Ideal candidates will need the ability to keep up with regulatory changes and have a go-getter mentality.

The Trulieve Team at a Conference

Trulieve employees have access to full healthcare benefits and a generous PTO policy. Additionally, people in the physician and community educator role have the benefits of flexible scheduling, travel, and remote work. The company has approximately 1,200 employees. As the marketing team grows, the physician and community educator will have the opportunity to grow within the role and within other aspects of the company’s marketing strategy.

Project Manager, Real Estate and Facilities at Vireo

Medical cannabis company Vireo Health is seeking to hire a Real Estate and Facilities Project Manager who will work from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The person in this role will report directly to the Head of Real Estate and Facilities.

Vireo created the real estate and facilities project manager position in response to its rapid growth. As the primary point of contact for all contractors involved in the company’s real estate projects, the ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple construction projects (including new dispensaries, dispensary remodeling, and new grow facilities) from start to finish. The role will involve traveling up to 60 percent of the time. The company is looking for someone with five or more years of construction and project management experience. Salary will be negotiable depending on the candidate’s level of experience.

Physician-Led Vireo Has Cultivation Facilities

The job comes with a benefits package, including healthcare, and the opportunity to grow within the role and with a rapidly scaling company. Vireo has more than 200 employees, a number that will continue to increase as the company expands into new markets like Ohio.
