Don’t Fall Over the Ridge

Ridge Capital Systems is a foreign currency software seller. It sells “AI-powered trading strategies for superior market performance.” It offers five different systems, including the R-10 and the R-50, and the R-X5 and the R-X25. The first two of these have 22 sub-systems, and the second two have a dozen. The fifth system, the R-A10, is an advanced system that moves away from conventional systems.

The Ridge Capital Systems website does not mention the names of any of its owners or operators, which is a big yellow flag. LA Weekly published an article about the company at the end of May in 2025 about how it was changing the game for AI investors. It did name the three founders as Luc Longmire, Kaya Van Boven and Adam LoPorto, and it mentioned that there was a third-party development team. It also said that they knew nothing about AI when they started developing the product, but they met “a small collaborative team, including an MIT educated software engineer with NASA-level credentials, finance professionals and programmers.”  The article does not mention the name of this team or the names of any of its members.

The company is advertising its systems on a website, https://ridgecapital.io/:

This website also has nothing about the people behind the company, though it does host a video with “Jesse” that explains a lot and does discuss the people behind it. Here is “Jesse” comparing Ridge Capital to Bots and Algos:

I saw the company’s advertisement on Reels and looked into it. Not seeing who was running the company on the website, I did watch this video. Jesse mentioned the people running it, Luc Longmire, Kayla Von Boven and Adam LoPorto:

These three have had stellar careers in foreign currency trading, according to “Jesse” and the LA Weekly article. I found only Luc Longmire on LinkedIn, and he has been a “financial coach” since 2015. His profile makes no mention of Ridge Capital Solutions, which isn’t on LinkedIn either. While most people or entities are on LinkedIn, and it’s a yellow flag that two of the three are missing profiles, here is a red flag: The name is messed up for Kayla. Right after “Jesse” shares the picture of the three together, he goes over each one. Here is Kayla’s:

Is it Kayla Von Boven, or is it Kayla Van Boven? Hmm. The LA Weekly article mentioned Kayla Van Boven. Kayla Von Boven is likely the correct spelling, as she is mentioned along with LoPorto as a “trusted partner”on the Evolve Group website. Ridge Capital Solutions is mentioned as a customer.

So, investors should be very cautious about proceeding with Ridge Capital. The company fails to mention who owns it or who operates it, and there are mistakes being made on this front. Also, who exactly are the brains behind it, these new developers?
