Lift Closes $3 Million in Series A Funding

Hires New Chief Operations Officer and Chief Communications Officer

TORONTO, Aug. 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — TORONTO – Lift Co. Ltd. (“Lift”), Canada’s leading cannabis media and technology platform, is pleased to announce it has successfully raised $3 million in institutional Series A funding, making it the largest round of funding for any Canadian cannabis technology company to date. Founded in 2014 as a simple educational website for medical cannabis patients, Lift has since grown and expanded its offerings across Canada, becoming one of the country’s most recognized cannabis brands.

Growing from six employees last year to more than 20 at the time of writing, Lift is also pleased to welcome to its executive team Craig Hudson as its new Chief Operations Officer and Mirella-Marie Radman as its new Chief Communications Officer.

Mr. Hudson brings over 15 years of Finance and Operations experience to Lift, most recently serving as the Vice President of Digital Operations for Indigo Books And Music. A Chartered Accountant by background, he was lured by a window of opportunity in a well-funded, dynamic industry which is poised to experience outstanding growth.

Ms. Radman has over 20 years of marketing, communications, and media relations experience working for a variety of companies and organizations, most recently spending six years as a Senior Marketing Manager for The Globe and Mail. Ms. Radman holds an EMBA from the Berlin School of Creative Studies, Steibeis and a Ph.D in International Relations and Journalism from Harvard University. She has previously held various positions in communications and marketing at QX, American Express, Redknee, and NATO.
