Cannabis Investment Opportunities to be Discussed at CFA Society San Francisco Event

Investing in the cannabis industry continues to become more mainstream, with interest gathering even among investment professionals.  The CFA Society San Francisco will be hosting “The Business of Bud: 2017 Cannabis Industry Update” at Golden Gate University on February 23rd. With more than 3500 members, the organization, which has roots back to 1929, is the seventh largest and second oldest of the 150 societies globally that comprise the membership arm of CFA Institute, which offers the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

The 3 1/2 hour event aims to cover regulatory issues, investment opportunities and risks and market research and features a panel discussion with Tim Morland, Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs, State Board of Equalization, State of California, Troy Dayton, CEO of The Arcview Group, and Morgan Paxhia, Co-founder of Poseidon Asset Management. The event is open to both members and non-members.
