Cresco Labs Prepares for Expansion with Field Expert Hires

(May 2, 2018 – Chicago, IL) With expansion plans to more than five new markets in 2018, Midwest-based medical marijuana company Cresco Labs has been beefing up their team and building an internal structure for success. Cresco was victorious in three very competitive application processes obtaining coveted cultivation licenses in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Ohio and they now have their sights on aggressive expansion of their brand from the east coast to the west. The company has made three new hires including seasoned marketers and operators that will help them reach that goal.

Pandora veteran Raechel White joined Cresco Labs as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Raechel led the sales marketing efforts for healthcare, quick service restaurants, and consumer packaged goods sales teams while at Pandora. Her role involved supplementing national sales groups with narratives and materials to grow national vertical business. Prior to her time at Pandora, Raechel served as a marketing specialist at Centro Media, supporting a national sales team with marketing support and helping a growing marketing team implement repeatable thought leadership and educational programs for the digital media industry. Raechel’s primary focus will be supporting sales as well as brand and retail marketing efforts in Cresco’s existing and expansion markets.

Jennifer Clark joined the Cresco Labs team as a Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence. She has over 20 years of operations experience working in highly regulated environments. Prior to Cresco, she led multi-million-dollar operations for a high growth scientific organization within AbbVie, a leading biopharmaceutical company. There, she developed standard operating procedures, training and compliance programs, implemented technology and automation, and streamlined processes to build efficiencies. At Cresco Labs, Jennifer will bring her combined expertise and knowledge to lead large-scale process improvement efforts to streamline business operations, promote scale-up and growth, enhance the quality management system, and drive informed decision-making through data analytics and key performance indicators.

As a seasoned hospitality expert, Jourdan Kurtz joins Cresco Labs as Executive Vice President of Retail Operations. Jourdan brings over 15 years’ knowledge in opening high-end restaurants, bars and nightlife and delivering an elevated consumer experience. He has worked at some of the largest restaurant companies in the country including Lettuce Entertain You and The Tao Group, where he was responsible for properties such as RPM Steak Chicago, RPM Italian DC, Dream Downtown in NYC, and Lavo Restaurant and Nightclub. Jourdan will be spearheading the company’s nationwide expansion into medical and adult-access cannabis markets.
