ExtraktLAB Combines Extraction and Chromatography Technologies to Help Cannabis Oil Producers

ExtraktLab

Minnesota-based ExtraktLAB is creating supercritical extraction and chromatography products to help its cannabis industry customers cost-effectively scale up their cannabis oil production facilities. In an interview with AZo Materials, CEO James White discusses the company’s two major types of customers, which include experienced growers wanting to produce high quality extracts at a low cost as well as newer entrepreneurs that are looking to build extraction facilities.  White expects that the growth in the legal market as well as a trend towards vaporization extracts, edibles and topicals will continue to drive opportunities for equipment makers like his company.  White, who earned his Ph.D in mechanical engineering from MIT in 2003, explains the benefits of supercritical CO2 and how his company uses chromatography to give its customers better quality-control.
