Huge Hawaiian Produce Player Makes Medical Cannabis Bid

Mari’s Gardens, a large produce grower in Hawaii, is just the latest example of mainstream businesses entering the cannabis industry.  ERBA Wellness is headed by the owner of Mari’s Garden, Mel Chiogioji, and its master cultivator, Fred Lau, and it has applied for a license in Hawaii. The company includes Dr. Sue Sisley, who is well-known for her PTSD research efforts, among its advisors as well as Darwin Millard and Tamar Wise, who were formerly part of Dixie Brands (then Dixie Elixirs) but now partners at Plant Consulting Group LLC in Colorado.
