Province Brands, a company incorporated under the laws of Canada, is an early stage, Toronto-based, disruptive premium adult beverage company founded by Dooma Wendschuh and veteran entrepreneurs with extensive experience in the premium alcohol, legal medical and recreational cannabis industries. Province Brands’ first beer is brewed from hemp and is alcoholic. Using hemp stalks, stems and roots, together with fine hops, this beer will offer a delicious alternative for those seeking a lower calorie, low sugar, gluten-free craft beer. The second beer is brewed from marijuana and will be available when Canada has legalized cannabis edibles and beverages. Alcohol free, yet still intoxicating through marijuana and phytocannabinoids. Province Brands’ beers brewed from the cannabis plant will challenge the alcohol industry by offering a safer and healthier alternative – lower in calories and sugar, and gluten free.

Province Brands recently announced a proposed reverse takeover of Colson Capital Corporation. Trading of Colson shares is presently halted and is expected to remain halted pending completion of the proposed transaction.


Province Brands is Brewing the World’s First Beers From Cannabis

Establishing a new brewing tradition, Province Brands’ patent-pending technology is designed to formulate and enable the world’s first beer(s) brewed from cannabis rather than barley or grain. Province Brands’ beers will not be infused with cannabis, but instead be brewed from its, creating a first of it’s kind premium craft product.

In early 2017, Province Brands developed the process for brewing a beer from cannabis on a prep-scale method development system. Beer produced using this system was the launch pad for the company’s many milestones. If the company’s pending patents are approved, Province Brands will be the only brewery in the world capable of brewing beer from the cannabis plant.


The Next Generation Won’t Smoke Weed. They’ll Drink It

Province Brands’ cannabis beers can be created with inexpensive yet premium raw materials such as roots, stalks and stems, essentially an industry waste stream that the company expects to source at a nominal cost. Province Brands intends to sell in both cannabis markets, offering a non-alcoholic beer brewed from cannabis (when legalized) and an alcoholic beer brewed from hemp instead of barley.

Revenue streams include: general beer sales; co- packing; and licensing brewing technology such as our decelerant formulation (currently under development).

Province Brands has rented a 123,000 sq. ft. building just 50 miles from the U.S. border in Grimsby, Ontario, to produce its vanguard beverages. A small-scale brewery will be built first, with a 20,000 HL per year capacity, followed by a large-scale brewery designed to increase production to 175,000 HL per year capacity.

Michael Dooma Wendschuh
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding Province Brands, Dooma Wendschuh was the Co-Founder of a Colorado-based cannabinoid research and consumer products company. Before entering the cannabis industry, he was Co-Founder and Co-CEO of sekretagent Productions Inc., a film and video game production agency best known for its video game work on the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Batman: Arkham Origins and the Prince of Persia franchise. Collectively, sekretagent Productions’ games have grossed more than $5 billion worldwide. Under Wendschuh’s leadership, sekretagent Productions also sold eight motion pictures and one television series to major studios. Mr. Wendschuh graduated magna cum-laude from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and received his Masters from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema / Television Peter Stark Producing Program.

As a corporate law specialist with a decade of wide ranging, significant transactional experience with private and public companies, delivering expertise in deal structuring, corporate governance, intellectual property matters and regulatory compliance. Ms. Thomas’s core competencies include delivering timely and cost-effective legal services to senior management; building effective legal teams; developing internal policies and procedures; implementing excellent organization-wide communication; and offering deep expertise in navigating the international and multi-state cannabis industry and related compliance matters. Prior to joining Province Brands, Ms. Dianne Thomas held roles at Privateer Holdings, where she led the Marley Natural legal team. From 2008 to 2015, Ms. Thomas was an associate at Jones Day in which she served in the M&A and Banking and Finance Groups, where she advised a range of companies from start-ups through to IPO stage.

Ira Levy, CPA, CA
Chief Financial Officer
Ira Levy is a senior financial professional with over a decade of business experience where he has been responsible for complex financial reporting, as well as for developing robust internal control systems. Mr. Levy has been instrumental in preparing for public offering and assisting in the fundraising efforts. Having spent time in senior roles within both privately and publicly held enterprises, including those within retail sector (Universal Music Group, Mark Anthony Group Inc. and IKO Industries Ltd.) and the P3/Infrastructure sector (Apleona, Bilfinger RE Asset Management Ltd.). Mr. Levy earned his Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation from KPMG International Cooperative, received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA, Finance and Marketing), and Master of Business Administration (MBA, Accounting and Strategy) from the preeminent Schulich School of Business, York University.
