The Investment / Acquisition Division will focus on equity investments in select ACMPR applicants or LPs. AGB will be the acquisition.
AGB is a private, Edmonton-based company that has made an application for an LP license under the ACMPR. AGB has received its pre-license inspection letter from Health Canada. As such, once the facility is constructed according to the submitted plans it can be inspected by Health Canada. The application and facility design was completed by the Services Group, which has a 100% success rate in moving applicants from pre-license inspection through to approval. AGB has a lease with an option to purchase on a 35,500 square-foot facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Approximately $14 million to $16 million is required to complete the facility, at which point the expected capacity is 7,000 kilograms (“kgs”) of cannabis per annum. With propriety growing technology and systems designed by the Services Division, AGB is expected to have one of the highest yields per square foot in the industry. The facility has been designed to be a low-cost, high volume producer of quality cannabis.
In early March, RavenQuest acquired Bloomera, a licensed LP in Markham, Ontario that the company expects will add 2000 kilograms initially to its cannabis production capacity. Given RavenQuest’s growing methodology and application of yield-maximization research being developed in partnership with McGill University, RavenQuest expects to produce at least 11,000 kilograms of cannabis annually from these two facilities.
In June 2018, RavenQuest announced plans to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Western Agripharma, a late-stage applicant with plans to develop a 125,000-square-foot facility in Port Mellon, British Columbia. Western Agripharma also owns 23.75% of Atlantic Cannabis Corp., which has plans for a 50,000-square-foot facility on Breton Island in Nova Scotia. Atlantic Cannabis also has an additional 120 acres.
RavenQuest also has 30% interest in the Fort McMurray #468 First Nation facility in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The 250,000-square-foot facility has a 50,000-kilogram capacity.
