Silicon Valley Investor Raises Nearly $3mm for Oregon Cannabis Cultivation

Hifi Farms

Sara Batterby, the Founding Chair of the Women Grow chapter in Portland and a technology industry veteran who recently began helping fund startups at Elemeno, reports that Hifi Farms, where she is CEO, has raised $2.8mm out of its $3mm seed round. $1.8mm went to the purchase of the property pictured above, while the remaining $1.2mm is funding the first phase of the cultivation buildout.  Batterby is a strong proponent of diversity, sustainability and organics, so it’s not surprising to see that Hifi Farms has taken the steps to be certified by Clean Green.
