Wireless Entrepreneur Aims for Hawaiian Medical Cannabis Dispensary License

Bill Jarvis

15 years after legalizing medical cannabis, Hawaii plans to select its first dispensaries in April. One entrepreneur who will be applying is Bill Jarvis, who has been in the wireless communications industry for more than two decades.

Mobi PCS President and CEO Bill Jarvis, who plans to apply for one of Hawaii’s eight medical marijuana dispensary licenses in January, says the medical marijuana industry is a lot like the telecommunications industry.

He explains the similarities, which include security issues, a preponderance of cash payments, customized solutions and a need to carefully control inventory.  His group expects to spend about $5mm.
