Illinois Adult-Use Cannabis Sales Decrease 2.3% Sequentially to $126.8 Million in June

Illinois adult-use cannabis sales of $126.8 million decreased 2.3% sequentially in June. Compared to a year ago, growth decreased from 11.5% in May to 9.7%:

2021 adult-use sales of $1.38 billion increased 106% over 2020, and year-to-date sales of $750.6 million have increased 20.0% so far in 2022. During June, sales to non-residents were flat at 31.6% of total sales:

The state separately releases sales from its medical program, which showed that they fell 5.6% sequentially in June to $28.45 million. This was down 10% from a year ago:

Total sales were $155.3 million, which was down about 3% sequentially and up 5.4% from a year ago.

For the first half of the year, total sales have been $931 million. This is up 13% from the first half of 2021.
