CFN Media interviewed Stephen Keen, the CEO of Surna, Inc. (SRNA), at the Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo in Los Angeles in September.  Surna, based in Boulder, Colorado, engineers energy-saving solutions for the cannabis industry.  Keen, who was recently named CEO after serving as VP of R&D following the sale of his company, Hydro Innovations, to Surna, discussed the company’s cooling technology and the recent entry into lighting with the launch of its new reflector that cools and dehumidifies.  While Keen sees an eventual shift to LEDs, the current demand is for double-ended HPS. The company just completed a 450-ton cooling system installation in Denver.  Surna is developing a hybrid turn-key facility that incorporates greenhouse and indoor characteristics.
