Uber Legal Battle Fighter Tusk Sees Technology Opportunity for Cannabis Industry

Bradley Tusk, of Tusk Ventures, shared a list of 10 regulatory battles that technology companies face and included the cannabis industry.  Tusk Ventures works with Eaze, a leading on-demand medical marijuana technology company.

Tusk, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick’s go-to regulatory fixer for nearly five years, has made a living spotting political battles, first as lieutenant governor of Illinois and a campaign manager for Michael Bloomberg, now as an investor who takes equity in startups in exchange for handling the headaches of legacy competitors and politicians who look to block them in polls and the courts.

Tusk, who sees a battle between those looking to challenge regulations to banking to help the industry grow and opponents of legalization, and he believes cryptocurrency could be a potential solution to some of the banking issues.
