Bay Area’s Biggest Cannabis Industry Employers Named by San Francisco Business Times

SPARC bills itself as San Francisco’s “premier cannabis dispensary”, and it has earned it from the San Francisco Business Times as far as Bay Area employers in the cannabis industry go. This is the first time the business journal has looked at the industry by this metric, and it published the ten leading employers. The list, which covers direct and ancillary businesses, is based on employer responses and includes only those companies that responded.

SPARC led the list with 145 employees. Second place belonged to Berkeley Patients Group, which reports 80 employees. The Apothecarium earned third place, with 75 employees. The balance of the list included mainly dispensaries, but a laboratory, a brand and two distribution companies made the cut as well.

Subscribers can view the complete list of 35 companies free of charge, while it is also available for purchase for $35.
