MassRoots applies to be first cannabis company listed on Nasdaq


Marijuana social networking app MassRoots announced Monday that it has applied to be listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market. If accepted, the company would be the first cannabis technology firm on the exchange.

The Denver-based company MSRT, +7.69% , founded in April 2013, has been listed on the OTC Markets Group’s OTCQB marketplace, usually reserved for developmental stage companies, since April of this year. MassRoots connects marijuana users to other enthusiasts and area dispensaries via mobile app.
