Why Global Cannabis Leaders DNA Genetics and Tweed Are So Excited by Their Partnership

Don and Aaron in Smith Falls

On October 1st, Canopy Growth Corporation, which is the parent of Canadian licensed cannabis producer Tweed, announced an exclusive partnership with Amsterdam-based DNA Genetics to bring its own product offering to new heights and to launch its own breeding program to bring new DNA-bred strains to Tweed customers.

Lift had a chance to speak with Don and Aaron, the “D” and the “A” of DNA, and Mark Zekulin of Ontario’s Tweed Inc.  DNA is a breeding/genetics company that has been helping cannabis growers select and grow award-winning strains, with well over 100 awards for their strains at competitions around the world, including in Canada at the former Champs Canada.

Don and Aaron speak about their experience so far at Tweed’s sprawling Smith Falls facility and the high bar set by the MMPR, and Mark talks about what this partnership will mean for Tweed.
